Community College of Baltimore County - Academic Theater

Milan 1880

Costume Design and Construction

This unique project was a collaboration between CCBC Theatre Staff and Students and Deaf Community Members to produce an original play. The story portrayed the pivotol conference in Milan 1880 that determined the methods of Deaf education in Europe. Five Americans, all played by Deaf Actors, were the only members in the congregation who advocated for Sign Language as the preferred method of teaching.
